They were supplied by Kyocera, the manufacturer of the printer. Are the affected fonts shown in the dropdown list for your current printer? I have now received a response from Corel. Initial re-action is why is this a Kyocera issue if the fonts print and the only issue is one of display within WP. I have checked on my wife's computer, which has a Laserjet Postscript printer as the default bought in Januaryso about the same age as Sandie's.
Select your version of WordPerfect. Apologies to Goldman for missing the point that the problem on Windows XP. Another user has kindly already confirmed the behaviour on XP.
That should make the difference. The Repair Install should not affect customizations.
I'm hoping to figure out what has changed, and fix it, so as to return to my prior blissful state of being able to access previously-saved documents without having to change each individual document I open in bodonu to view it.
Do you have another version of WP installed other than X3? Click the Environment icon.
PC Font & File Names
Yes I am sure thank you. Installing a font does not make changes. I already advised this. The option to display only TrueType fonts lies in Windows I take the opportunity to thank all the contributors here for the advice, support and idead and for confirming the incident.
I followed these instructions and found they made no difference bodonk the affected documents. Yes I dare say you are right.
DTP Support PC Fonts
Going on Derek's comment that letterspacing changed things, I tried it and learned that changing the letterspacing appears to correct the problem for the Clarendon and Eurostile fonts as well. Or do I just have to either change the default font or increase the letterspacing each time I open one of the documents saved in the affected fonts?
They are supplied in all recent driver installations including the latest and the fonts are unchanged and have the same modified date. What I want to know now is what the 2nd stop after this forum.
The lack fomte kerning explains why increasing letterspacing works. It does in my case which makes me think that there is more to be resolved still. All of a sudden I find fonts wont show up. So letterspacing improves the situation but is not itself a resolution I feel. How can we figure out if we are able to use AngieOT with WordPerfect, so as to match the font our new letterhead is printed in? I ran it a few times on each. Nor have I changed the default printer since this problem occurred. I have reinstalled X6 and get the same result. I have now discussed this at senior level within Kyocera, and documented same with screen grabs to Kyocera. EDIT - What brcn if you select a different printer?
